Last weekend I took Abbott out with my friend Elizabeth and her mare Secret and we had fun jumping around the beautiful cross country course at Kelly’s Ford. One of the great things about Kelly’s Ford is it’s so close to the farm and you can ride any of their facilities (indoor arena, x-country course, 2 outdoor arenas) for only $30 a horse. Abbott, who is not a big fan of water, was even brave enough to go into the water complex, canter around a bit and jump in and out. Way to go Abbott! Elizabeth was feeling a brave and tried her luck over a few big coops and Abbott got his first try at stairs and banks which he did like a champ.
