Summer Camps

White Oak Stables summer camps are fun, creative and educational. We will keep your kids from sitting in front of computers, tablets, phones and video games all day long by keeping them engaged through creative expression, fitness and learning. We can provide your children with a one of a kind experience they will never forget in a beautiful, serene farm setting. See some of our past summer camp sessions!

We are exempt from VDOE Child Day Program licensure. Our program is fully insured.

2026 Weekly Sessions: Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm

  1. July – TBD (dates coming soon)
  2. August – TBD (dates coming soon)

Cost: $600 per session per child. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot and the full balance is due 2 weeks before your camp session date.

Age Limit: 7 – 14

Clothing: We can provide riding helmets. Appropriate riding shoes and riding pants are required. Campers need a towel and bathing suit (or change of clothes) and flip-flops/crocs/water shoes for water activities. We do not allow campers to go barefoot around the farm. Your child will get dirty and/or stinky so consider using older clothes.

Prior Experience: We prefer our youngest riders to have taken at least 2 lessons with us before the start of camp so we can make sure they can stop and steer the horses but no experience required.

Liability Waivers & Insurance: All our campers must have a signed liability waiver by a parent/guardian and provide their current insurance information.

Teachers: Jade Krafsig will teach riding lessons and lead camp. She has over a decade of experience teaching riding lessons and is CPR and first aid certified. Danielle Krafsig is an avid horse lover, Taylor Swift fan, and bookworm. She runs our art lesson sessions and assists with camp.

Daily Activities: Feeding, grooming, tacking, horseback riding, horsemanship, water balloons/guns/sprinkler, arts & crafts, snow cones and group activity

Other Activities Vary: Horse training/lunging/free jumping/driving/farrier demonstrations, hobby horse races, scavenger hunts, chalk painting the horses, bathing the horses, braiding or bandaging the horses, putting together bridles, cleaning tack, mucking stalls, cookie decorating on last day of camp.

Lunch & Snack: not provided, each child must come with a bag lunch and snack. Please let us know if anyone in your family has any food allergies.

Friday Pizza Party: On the last day of camp we provide pizza (cheese and pepperoni) for campers AND parents to give you an easy send off into the weekend.

Social Media: At the end of each camp day we post pictures of the day’s camp activities on our Facebook page for you to share with family and friends. We do not identify any children by name.
