Yes it’s that time of the year again! This is just a friendly reminder of our upcoming fun lesson themed months, our cold weather policy, and the upcoming holidays and when we will be closed.

Fun Lesson Themed Months

No Stirrup November – Ditch those stirrups and work your legs. Yes this is everyone’s favorite (painful) month but your riding ability will thank you later. For everyone who sticks it out you’ll be shocked how much better you ride in December.

Dressage December – All of the jumps come out of the arena and it’s time to get back to the basics. Can you name all five of your aids? How about the levels in the dressage training scale? It’s time to remember that dressage is the foundation of all riding, no matter the discipline.

Jumping Gymnastics January – After a month of no jumping it’s always fun to have the jumps return. Since we took them down we’re going to build them all back up, one gymnastic at a time. This month will focus on jumping grids and a long series of jumps in a row.

Cold Weather Policy

Please make sure your riders come with gloves and a warm coat!! Layers are best for keeping warm or stripping down if you get too hot. Last year we had many riders who didn’t have gloves and we only have a few extra pairs available. For our winter riders we strongly recommend you invest in a box of Hot Hands to keep fingers (and toes) nice and toasty warm.

Lessons are automatically cancelled if the weather is below 32 degrees. If weather conditions are rainy/wet typically we cancel below 40 degrees but you will be notified by your instructor (or can check the website) to see if your lesson has been cancelled. Any lessons cancelled for weather or by your instructor will be rescheduled. Otherwise we require a 24 hour notice of any other lesson you can’t make or that lesson will be forfeit.

Holiday Presents

Every year we give out gifts to anyone who rides in the month of December. These presents will start going out December 1st so make sure to pick up your gift before you leave your lesson.
