Spring Is In The Air!

We’re finally headed into warmer weather and it couldn’t come soon enough. This month we’ve been working on poles courses, keeping a nice straight line over our jumps, and riding deep corners. While this sounds easy, the faster you go the harder it gets. On that note, several of our beginner riders have graduated to cantering or are super close–congrats you guys!

Weather – Staying Hydrated

As we get into warmer weather remember to bring a water bottle with you to your lesson. We try to keep water in the fridge but sometimes we run out. Is your water bottle missing? Check our lost and found (purple bin on the shelf by the tack room door) because we have a few still looking for their owners.

Emma – Official Retirement

Many of you know that our lovely Ms. Emma has been having issues with her hip. As a result she is now officially retired from our lesson program and will no longer be giving lessons. A well deserved retirement if I do say so! Emma has been giving lessons on our farm for over 10 years and has taught countless students for many years before that. If you happen to find some carrots with her name on them she will be happy to take those off your hands.

Easter – Lessons Cancelled

If I haven’t talked to you already I will reach out to you sometime this week. I have a family event and need to cancel lessons on Easter. Anyone who has a lesson scheduled on Easter will have it moved to my next available spot (likely 3pm on Saturday).

Summer Camp – Dates Coming Soon!

We currently have tentative dates on our calendar but they haven’t been finalized yet. All of our arts and crafts are on their way and you can see them along with more info on what we offer on our Summer Camps page. Our spots fill up fast so keep checking or shoot me an email if you’re interested so I can let you know when the dates are official and registration is open.

Diversity Program – Returning this Summer

The last few years I didn’t have any availability to run the diversity program due to the large increase in riding lesson volume and as a result of covid shutdown. It will be returning this summer so please take a moment to apply for our scholarship! Riders selected for the diversity scholarship get a free riding lesson Saturdays at 3pm for several months. If you know anyone who could greatly benefit from a scholarship please share this great opportunity.
