Minority riders 16+ can apply to be a working student at White Oak Stables. For every three days they do barn related chores at White Oak Stables (mucking, grooming, feeding, blanketing, turn in/out) they will receive a free private lesson.

This information is accurate and I understand should I win this scholarship that I must work 3 days at White Oak Stables in exchange for 1 private lesson (weather-permitting). A standard White Oak Stables liability waiver is required to be completed before I can start my lesson scholarship in May of the year that it is awarded. If my attendance working at the stables becomes spotty or unreliable I will receive my final private lesson and then be dismissed as a working student. I am a US Citizen, 16 years of age or older and can provide my own transportation to the stables. I have parental permission to request this scholarship.
