White Oak Stables summer camps are fun, creative and educational. We will keep your kids from sitting in front of computers, tablets, phones and video games all day long by keeping them active and engaged through creative expression, fitness and learning. We can provide your children with a one of a kind experience they will never forget in a beautiful, serene farm setting. Space is limited so reserve your spot now!

Sessions: Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm

  1. July 25th to 29th – only 3 spots left!
  2. August 1st to 5th – only 5 spots left!
  3. August 8th to 12th – only 5 spots left!

Cost: $400 per session per child ($100 deposit to reserve your spot)

Age Limit: Children 6 – 12

Clothing: Appropriate riding shoes and pants are required, we can provide riding helmets.

Prior Experience: We prefer our youngest riders to have taken at least 2 lessons with us at any time before the start of camp so we can make sure they can stop and steer the horses but no experience is required.

Teachers: Riding lessons and horsemanship are taught by Jade Krafsig who has 17 years horse experience. Arts/crafts are taught by Cindy Bergeron who is a professional cake decorator and licensed VA kindergarten teacher with CPR and Epipen certifications.

Daily Activities: Feeding, grooming, tacking, horseback riding, horsemanship, arts & crafts and playtime

Other Activities: Horse training/lunging/driving/farrier demonstrations, scavenger hunts, camp workbook, painting on the horses, bathing the horses, braiding the horses, cleaning tack, mucking stalls, watercolor painting lessons from 30+ years professional artist, cake and cupcake decorating, ice cream making, snow cone making, water balloons/guns/sprinkler

Lunch & Snack: Will not be provided, each child must come with a bag lunch and snack

Cooking: Sometimes we do a cooking, cake decorating and ice cream activities therefore we must be made aware of any wheat, milk, soy and egg food allergies your child has. Lessons are taught by our professional, award winning regional cake decorator, Cindy Bergeron, who has had training with Duff Goldman from Charmed City Cakes.

Animals: We have dogs, horses and a cat on the farm.

Typical Camp Schedule:

  • 9am – campers arrive
  • 9:30am – feed horses
  • 10am – riding lesson or arts & crafts
  • 12noon – lunch
  • 1pm – playtime
  • 2pm – riding lesson or arts & crafts
  • 4pm – snack
  • 4:30pm – horsemanship
  • 5pm – campers go home

Typical Rain Day Schedule:
Note: we will ride in the rain unless it’s pouring or there’s lightning

  • 9am – campers arrive
  • 9:30am – feed horses
  • 10am – horsemanship or arts & crafts
  • 12noon – lunch
  • 1pm – indoor playtime or horse game or horse video
  • 2pm – horsemanship or arts & crafts
  • 4pm – snack
  • 4:30pm – group activity
  • 5pm – campers go home
